SEAM seeks Medical Device Prototype Manufacturer

South Eastern Applied Materials (SEAM) Research Centre based within Waterford Institute of Technology is currently seeking the services of a medical device prototype manufacturer to iteratively develop a prototype arthroscopic device for use by an orthopaedic surgeon. The aim is to develop a hand held device and probe tip that is arthroscopically accessible and simple for surgeons to utilise while operating. This task will involve all aspects of design from computer aided design concepts (3D CAD) to final manufacturing, including the arthroscopic probe insert and the surgeons handle.
